Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Evaluate production workflows and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Support new product introductions by designing and validating manufacturing methods and tooling.
- Create and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
- Analyze production data to troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering—to resolve technical challenges.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCAs/CAPAs)
- Understanding of engineering drawing
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of Engineering experience preferably in a high-volume industrial setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and in writing with all levels within the organization
- Ability to clearly relate the manufacturing process via process documents, routers, bills of material, process drawings and work instructions
- Experience incorporating new or improved manufacturing processes in a cost efficient and effective manner
- Understanding of engineering drawings and prints, dimensions, tolerances, materials and notations
- Experience using design software such as CAD (SolidWorks) or Syteline would be a plus
- Strong experience with MS Office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing: Most tasks are performed in an office setting.
- Lifting: Occasional lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 35 lbs.
- Walking: Moderate walking of distances up to 1 mile around the facility.
- Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional use of a cart to move push or move parts to a moderate distance.
- Pulling: Occasional use of cart to pull or move parts to a moderate distance.
- Bending: Occasional bending and crouching required to perform a variety of tasks.
- Reaching: Occasional full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees to reach for items.
- Environment: Working environment that of a manufacturing company including noise from forklift equipment.
