In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties:
Develops detailed manufacturing methods
Designs and/or selects tooling and fixturing needs
Initiates Quality Planning activities
Supports estimating activities
Initiates material planning activities
Controls outside vendor processes
Acts as Project Manager for assigned projects
Implements and/or initiates process improvements and supports lean initiatives
Insure compliance to applicable solicitation and contractual requirements
Helps train engineers, machinists and other employees as necessary
Perform other tasks as requested or required to support the needs of the business
Minimal supervision and direction to complete tasks effectively
**Qualifications:
**
A Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience is required. Typically, minimum experience: 5 to 7+ years.
Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
Proficient with the use of CAD systems
Familiarity with sampling plans and techniques
Knowledge of major aerospace and/or DOD manufacturing preferred
Demonstrates proficiency with MS office software
Project Management, demonstrating strong organization and communication skills.
Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures, including ISO 9001 Quality Systems
Knowledge of Government contracting requirements
Ability to work well in a team environment
