Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the manufacturing engineering team and supporting production by developing and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. This role will also support the development and implementation of automated manufacturing processes within the facility. The position works closely with production, quality, supply chain, and design engineering to improve manufacturing efficiency, resolve production issues, and support new product introduction.

Roles & Responsibilities


  1. Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions.
  2. Support machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly operations.
  3. Ensure new designs can be manufactured efficiently.
  4. Support implementation of automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
  5. Work with equipment vendors and integrators during installation and startup.
  6. Help develop manufacturing layouts and workflows for automated production areas.
  7. Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams.
  8. Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement solutions.
  9. Identify opportunities to improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
  10. Lead and support process improvement efforts.
  11. Reduce cycle time, improve productivity, and lower manufacturing costs.
  12. Participate in lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  13. Develop tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for production.
  14. Support evaluation and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.
  15. Manage and support the manufacturing engineering team.
  16. Prioritize engineering activities based on production needs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant engineering experience

  • Strong ability to liaise with all departments involved in new projects.
