Metal Processing & Fabrication Manufacturing

We're recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading metal processing company in Camden, SC.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve manufacturing processes, support production operations and drive continuous improvement across powder coating, assembly and metal fabrication operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling and production workflows
• Support powder coating, assembly and metal fabrication operations
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications
• Create and maintain routings, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation
• Support production planning using MRP/MRPII systems
• Participate in FMEA and manufacturing risk assessments
• Design tools and fixtures for welded component assembly
• Investigate production issues and support root cause analysis
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience within a manufacturing engineering role
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with MRP/MRPII systems
• Knowledge of powder coating, sheet metal or metal fabrication manufacturing
• Experience with FMEA and continuous improvement methodologies
• CAD software experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SPC, welding processes or cost analysis is an advantage
