We are seeking a process-focused manufacturing engineer with a strong interest in

continuous improvement and a passion for manufacturing to support our cooling

equipment manufacturing team and support new product introductions. This individual

must be a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a

strong mechanical aptitude.

This role is based in Billerica, MA. You will be a member of a customer-

focused, cross-functional manufacturing team interfacing with manufacturing personnel,

manufacturing supervision, planning, purchasing, engineering and quality. In this role,

you will promote a culture of lean manufacturing with an emphasis on eliminating waste

in processes. This position will report to the Systems Manufacturing Engineering

Manager as part of the Operations team.

In this highly visible position in our Manufacturing Engineering department you will:

 Serve as first point of contact for technical issues at the shop floor level. Drive

resolution of issues quickly and effectively to prevent re-occurrence. Promote a

‘Stop and Fix’ work environment to prevent quality escapes and improve work

practices.

 Participate in new product development as a key member of cross functional

product development teams providing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly

input to the design team as well as planning and coordinating the prototype

product builds.

 Design and implement process plan for electro-mechanical assembly and testing

operations including re-circulating chillers, ambient cooling systems, and liquid

to liquid pump stands.

 Lead Compliance Agency file updates for component changes and

obsolescence.

 Lead facility and capital projects from planning, supplier engagement, approval

and implementation.

 Support of regular Factory Maintenance Audits on Agency Listed Products.

 Development, specification, and improvements to process and product specific

tooling.

 Research, design and develop more efficient workflows, methods and equipment

including automation and electronic data capture.

 Create and revise process and product specific work instructions and routings.

 Define training requirements and develop training aids and competency tests for

training for key processes.

 Work directly with shop floor personnel to identify areas for improvement and

work to implement their ideas.

 Ensure process compliance to customer requirements and industry standards

and lead efforts to address evolving requirements as standard and

requirements change.

 Participate in problem solving teams and participate / lead 8D corrective actions

as required.

 Control manufacturing costs by employing effective manufacturing methods and

fixtures.

 Review drawing packages and conduct tolerance analyses versus customer

requirements.

 Initiate and execute ECN for process changes using PLM and ERP tools.

 Conduct process failure analyses to determine root cause and

corrective/preventive actions.

Minimum requirements: BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

required.7+ years working as a manufacturing engineer is preferred. An advanced

degree or certifications in management, project management, Six Sigma or technical

discipline a plus.

Desirable Experience: Refrigeration Systems experience, New Product Introductions,

Manufacturing Transfers (Domestic and International), PPAP Process, Plant layout and

workflow analysis, Lean Manufacturing, SolidWorks, Draft Sight, MS Excel, MS Project.

Relevant Technical Competencies:

 Refrigeration systems

 Industrial process plumbing

 Assembly process and work instruction development

 Electrical wiring and mechanical assemblies

 Torque Tools and Applications

 Assembly Line / Work Cell design and implementation

 Implementation of Facility Upgrades and Capital Projects

Travel requirements: Willing to travel up to 15% of time domestic and international

when required in support of manufacturing transfers and NPI at other client locations.
