Job Overview:

Description

  • Develop manufacturing plans for aerospace details and assemblies.
  • Select the most efficient manufacturing method to optimize profitability, quality and lead time.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to ensure producibility of parts. 
  • Identify raw materials, standards and outside processing requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance of engineering drawings utilizing 3D CAD software.
  • Assist with the resolution of manufacturing problems.
  • Act as a role model to staff and participants, displaying proper work ethics and behaviors.
  • Work with colleagues to review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, with 2 or more years of experience in an aerospace environment preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes. 
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 Quality System requirements.
  • Experience using Epicor and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational program management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

The wage range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.

  • Consistent use of computers.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material.
  • Frequent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship.
  • Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions.
  • Frequent lifting of 5 or 10 pounds, with occasional lifting to 35 pounds.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses.
  • Occasional exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection.
