Job Overview:

**

**Location: Maumee, OH

**Direct Hire

**Pay:

** $95,000 – $105,000 annual salary

**Responsibilities:

**

  • Support existing manufacturing operations through process improvement, tooling development, and production support activities.

  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, tooling concepts, and process documentation.

  • Confer with management, engineering, sales, and production personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, tooling requirements, and production needs.

  • Develop manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance.

  • Lead production trials and validation activities.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including tooling floor management, process optimization, and waste reduction.

  • Foster collaboration between Engineering and Operations teams to improve manufacturing performance and operational effectiveness.

  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure efficient implementation while maintaining customer requirements.

  • Analyze manufacturing issues and develop practical solutions that improve quality, productivity, and delivery performance.

  • Support tooling design, fixture development, and process development activities.

**Product Development:

**

  • Support prototype planning, development, testing, and launch activities.

  • Participate in product and process development trials.

  • Assist with new product introductions from concept through production launch.

  • Ensure program launches meet: Customer timelines, Production requirements, Productivity targets, Financial objectives

  • Participate in customer demonstrations and technical reviews as needed.

  • Assist with the development of engineering standards, KPIs, and performance metrics.

  • Support brainstorming and development of innovative product concepts and product improvements.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure successful product development and launch execution.

  • Assist in evaluating manufacturing feasibility and developing robust production processes for new products.

**Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

**

  • Analyze manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop measurable engineering and production metrics.

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Work cross-functionally to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead root cause analysis activities and implement corrective actions.

  • Support standardization efforts and best practice implementation throughout manufacturing operations.

  • Participate in cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects.

**Required Qualifications:

**

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering and/or Product Development experience.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with CAD software.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

  • SolidWorks experience.

  • AutoCAD experience.

  • Experience with cold forging manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with cold forging simulation software.

  • Internship or Co-Op experience in product development or manufacturing engineering.

  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.

  • Experience supporting automotive, industrial, or metal-forming manufacturing environments.
