Key Responsibilities:

In this role, your sheet metal and manufacturing skills will be critical to collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer and project needs to develop accurate costs.

• Your primary responsibility will be to interpret project drawings and specifications, identify material specifications, and prepare precise cost estimates for sheet metal projects.
• You will engage with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather the necessary information to ensure your estimates are accurate.
• Being analytical and detail-oriented is crucial, as you will analyze project requirements, consider pricing options, and offer recommendations to optimize costs.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential for creating detailed project layouts and collaborating with architects and engineers.
• Knowledge of manufacturing estimation software is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also vital for working effectively with project teams, suppliers, and clients.
• You should be able to negotiate and collaborate to gather accurate information and ensure successful project outcomes.
• A customer-focused mindset is important, as you'll be tasked with delivering cost-effective solutions that meet client requirements.
• Analyze requirements to ensure appropriate documentation/specifications/requirements are considered to provide accurate and cost competitive quotes to customers that are conducive to manufacturing environment.
• Ensure that accurate records and documentation are maintained as well as analyze data around tooling, service charges, minimum order quantities or minimum inventory quantities
• Research, Evaluate, analyze demand requirements and lead time as required
• Effectively manage multiple customer, projects and quotes to fulfill demand
• Be able to communicate and report out changes to schedules, problem, performance, etc. as required to various audiences
• Utilize computer-aided design and drafting software as required to assist in quoting
• Analyze drawings for materials, process fabrication and design elements to determine manufacturing processes and tools required 
• Adhere to company and department policies, procedures and standards  

Qualifications:

• 3yrs minimum experience in a Precision Sheet Metal manufacturing environment 
• Experienced in reading drawings from various formats (Pro-E, AutoCAD, Fabriwin, SolidWorks, Dr.Abe) 
• Communicates effectively using English language, both written and verbal 
• Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures 
• Time Management- Performs all necessary tasks in a timely manner 
• Performs all work in accordance with quality standards 
• Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced
