Conagra Brands - Indianapolis, home of Reddi Whip and Blue Bonnet, is looking to add to our team to help us meet the demands of our customers across the country. Reporting to the Senior Automation Engineer, you will work onsite at the Indianapolis, IN manufacturing plant on West 62nd St. You will support daily operations by implementing Automation/Electrical/Instrumentation (AEI) projects to achieve our performance goals. Develop AEI work priority lists with Operations and Facilities Teams and ensure compliance with current electrical safety rules and regulations across the site.
How Will You Affect Our Business?
Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, Ignition).
Support automation systems tied to production equipment, including motor controls, VFDs, servos, sensors, and high-speed processing equipment.
Support projects from scope through implementation, including panel builds, instrumentation installs, and system commissioning.
Partner with Operations and Facilities teams to prioritize work and improve equipment reliability.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, NFPA 70E, and plant safety requirements.
Provide documentation, training, and support for plant automation systems.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related technical field
3+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering within manufacturing
Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, etc.).
Experience with VFDs, servo drives, instrumentation, and process automation.
Support off-shift or weekend work during critical production needs.

Compensation:
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
