We are driven by a passion to design and manufacture the highest quality grid-scale power converters available.  Rooted in this passion, we provide our customers with inverters and DC/DC converters from 250 kW to 6 MW.  Everything we make is 100% developed by our engineering team.  Today, power electronics are more than ever becoming the core technology within major growth sectors such as renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicles, etc..

EPC is located in the center of a high-tech commercial park in Poway, CA (San Diego County) to meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base.  The R&D team is focused on developing robust and reliable power conversion solutions to real-world customer problems, and doing it in a smaller, more powerful footprint than anything else available today.  We enjoy what we do, and we encourage a creative, healthy, and highly collaborative environment.  Our goal is to work together as a fun, creative, and professional team; learning from and encouraging one-another as we push the state of the art forward in power electronics.

The Role:

Performs a wide range of skilled repetitive assembly and cleaning operations to produce quality products in a timely manner; performs operations from work instructions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles production components utilizing drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions
  • Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean 5S and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or QA Manager
  • Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Utilizes basic hand tools including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, heat gun, vise, solder gun, crimpers, wire strippers, torque wrenches and fabrication tools. Enters data on ERP system, such as progress, quality alerts and labor details
  • Wiring and labeling experience is helpful.
  • Performs clean-up, organization, and tool inventory activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications: 

  • Some related manufacturing or industry experience helpful
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to identify colors, read mechanical drawings, solve math problems, wire schematics and deadlines
  • Commitment to excellence, quality and high standards
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to understand, communicate and follow written and verbal instructions; all safety requirements and cautions
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude
  • Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to think designs through completely


 

Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel 
  • Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used
