We are looking to fill multiple 2nd and 3rd shift position in our Machining Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Manual Machinist.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work (3pm-11:15pm) 2nd shift or (11pm-7:15am) 3rd shift. 
  • Required: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent.
  • Preferred: Some machining experience, or machining certification from an accredited trade school.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical devices.
  • Basic knowledge of machining processes (drilling, milling, turning).
  • Possess strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Excellent visual perception to ensure fine detail quality inspection.
  • Full physical capability to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, bend and maneuver around equipment and job stations. This position is primarily standing at a machine most of the day. Must be able to lift and position components that weigh up to 35 pounds. Must be able to physically tolerate contact (hands) with coolants and cutting oils.
  • Ability to follow work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
  • Ability to perform precision measurement of machined components.
  • Must have a working knowledge of cutting tools.
  • Ability to operate industrial conventional machining equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Producing quality parts.
  • Follow company procedures and policies.
  • Meeting time standards established for all assigned production.
  • Alerting a supervisor to any unsafe condition.
  • Adequate control, protection, and use of the assets of the company.
  • Communicate with the supervisor, set up operators, and quality department to ensure common understanding of immediate issues affecting output and quality.
  • Produce parts as instructed by supervisor.
  • Provide justification and corrective action on all issues pertaining to poor quality.
  • Any other duties requested by the supervisor.
