Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team in Austintown, OH, 44515. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various manual machining equipment to produce high-quality components that meet our exacting standards.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Set up and operate manual machines, such as lathe or hobb, to perform a series of machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, facing, grinding, drilling and tapering on round metal bars.
• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Determine correct cutting tool to use to acheive required dimensions and finish tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining is a plus.

• 2 years' experience running lathe equipment

• 1 year experience operating manual turning or milling machines

• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Ability to hold tight tolerances within .001".

• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
