Hours: 7:30 am–4:00 pm

About the business

My Way Jewelry is a small, family-run jewellery manufacturer producing for major brands. We are looking for a reliable Manual Lathe Operator to join our established team and learn our specialist precious-metal manufacturing processes.

The role

You will operate a manual Hardinge lathe to manufacture jewellery parts. Previous manual lathe experience is required, but jewellery experience is not essential. Training will be provided on our products, materials and specific processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a manual lathe safely and accurately.
• Measuring parts using calipers and checking dimensions against requirements.
• Maintaining consistent quality and reporting machining issues.
• Handling precious metals carefully and minimising material waste.
• Keeping a clean, organised work area.
• Working closely with the owner and production team.

What we’re looking for

• Previous manual lathe experience; Hardinge experience would be helpful.
• Confidence using calipers and working to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Good attention to detail and a careful approach to valuable materials.
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn.
• Someone seeking a stable, long-term position within a small business.

CNC programming and previous jewellery manufacturing experience are not required.

Working environment and employment

Employees follow security procedures, including metal-free clothing requirements and metal detector screening when entering and leaving. These will be explained during recruitment, and individual requirements can be discussed.

You will initially be employed and paid by RPS Recruitment as a W-2 employee, working onsite at My Way Jewelry. RPS will manage payroll, tax withholding, workers’ compensation and employment administration. After 13 weeks, there is an opportunity to transfer to direct employment with My Way Jewelry by mutual agreement.

The working day includes a 30-minute lunch break and scheduled rest breaks. Working days, benefits and holiday arrangements will be confirmed during recruitment.
