Job Description Summary
Records all production transactions into and out of the warehouse and follow procedures as outlined by plant policy and manifest skills training. Uses computer ticketing software to ticket new items produced and logs information accurately. Communicates with departments regarding quality issues noticed with finished goods.
Job Description
Record and input all necessary data into the computer system.
Inspect totes for quality before being staged on the line for use.
Read, interpret and carry out shop order packets.
Recognize and comprehend what each number signifies in the product code.
Keeps accurate paperwork throughout shift and reconciles at the end of the shift.
Operate a forklift in tight and restricted spaces.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical machinery effectively and accurately.
Ability to effectively communicate, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions without assistance.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 10-12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
