Position Purpose:The Transportation Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of product shipments from production to the end-user. Here are some of their key responsibilities: planning and supervising shipments, scheduling routes, tracking orders, coordinating, monitoring transportation costs, ensuring compliance, maintaining records. Transportation Managers play a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
- Ensure that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and within budget.
- Organizing daily and weekly routes for transportation vehicles.
- Use systems like barcodes and tracking software to monitor shipments.
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of products.
- Keeping track of expenses to stay within budget.
- Make sure all shipments comply with legal regulations.
- Keep detailed records of all transportation activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications
Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree - Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation
Work Experience:
• 5 - 7 Years Related experience
• 6 Months - 1 Year Supervisory or management experience
Required Qualifications:
• Several years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
• Ability to coordinate complex logistics and plan routes effectively.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and tracking systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication for coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly address and resolve transportation issues.
• Understanding of legal regulations and safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications :
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APICS
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
