The Opportunity:

 

The Manager, Technical Operations will lead the technology transfer from pilot, small-scale manufacturing to successful full-scale manufacturing. Working closely with manufacturing and product development to determine critical processing to produce safe, high-quality products. The successful candidate will possess a problem-solving mindset to proactivity solve processing complexity. This role must comply with all FDA requirements, including good manufacturing process. Leveraging and collaborating with external partners, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new technologies to improve processes and efficiency. 


 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide process engineering, scale-up, technical transfer, and validation support to manufacturing.
  • Lead process transfer from development to production and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Drive process and product improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across departments and act as R&D liaison for First Time Right metrics.
  • Partner with QA/QC to optimize dry dosage reworks and future production runs.
  • Support new product launches by improving processes in coating, blending, tableting, encapsulation, and granulation.
  • Assist Purchasing in evaluating new and alternative raw material suppliers.
  • Monitor and report performance improvements to management.
  • Manage multiple high-volume tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicate critical data effectively to department managers.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 10 years experience with expert knowledge of dietary supplement formulation, technology, and process engineering. 
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations a must.
  • Knowledge of dietary supplement ingredients and their efficacy of use multiple formats.
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism.
  • Ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Proven track record of manufacturing processes and technology used to successfully manufacture large-scale production runs.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; always looking for ways to improve and promote quality and efficiency; ability to apply feedback to improve performance. Understands formulation cost and pricing analysis.


Education Requirements:

  • BS or higher degree in science field that relates to dietary supplement formulation.
  • 10+ years’ experience working in research and development and manufacturing environments, with minimum of 4 years in dry dosage delivery systems.
  • Compute Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and other software’s necessary to complete assigned tasks.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $115,000. - $145,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
