Job Title: Final Mile Delivery Optimization Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking a results-driven Final Mile Delivery Optimization Manager to lead and evolve our national routing and delivery operations within Mohawk Logistics—an award-winning technology leader in the transportation space. This role is national in scope, overseeing the optimization of more than 200 routes across 35 facilities while leading the integration and optimization of two major final mile delivery networks.

This position is ideal for a logistics leader who thrives on scaling complex operations, driving efficiency, and shaping new systems to meet changing business needs. You’ll collaborate closely with territory planning and business analyst teams to design, test, and implement data-driven routing strategies that deliver exceptional customer performance and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead national final mile delivery optimization efforts across a growing multi-facility network.
• Oversee the daily creation and optimization of delivery routes to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and accurate performance.
• Drive the integration of two final mile delivery operations into a unified national model.
• Partner with territory planning and business analyst teams to align routing strategies with service territories and business goals.
• Implement and refine routing systems, tools, and processes to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver measurable improvements in service, cost, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience managing large-scale final mile or distribution routing operations.
• Strong understanding of routing optimization software and logistics systems.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement and network integration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and ability to manage sensitive information.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing routing or delivery operations across multiple regions or facilities.
• Familiarity with advanced routing and logistics platforms (e.g., Ortec, McLeod, or similar).
• Background in territory planning and change management related to system or process implementation.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
