This exciting leadership position, Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for ~$500M annual spend providing professional strategic supply chain management for the StandardAero Maryville, TN business unit and ensures the effective coordination between the aircraft engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations and the supply chain. Manages and coordinates a team responsible for the inventory planning, order management, indirect facilities procurement, and management of internal customer requirements encompassing both direct and indirect spend. Responsible for relationship management, long term Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplier agreements, and procurement with outside processing suppliers. Identifies, develops, and introduces improvements within the business unit to improve materials control and service levels. Recommends and participates in the development of StandardAero policies and procedures related to the Supply Chain.

What you’ll do:
- Ensures required materials, consumables, components, sub-assemblies, engines, tools, equipment, and staffing levels are available to meet aircraft engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) repair and overhaul production plans.
- Works closely with operations and finance leadership to ensure inventory levels are optimized and work-in-process (WIP) levels minimized to meet production and business unit trade working capital (TWC) requirements.
- Analyzes materials sources and strategically directs the mix of new, surplus, overhauled and repairable materiel, as well as, the selection of repair and overhaul suppliers.
- Produces and maintains measures of performance to graphically display performance-related strengths and weaknesses and to identify improvement opportunities in materials management
- Ensures supplier development programs are appropriate and pursues supplier agreements, partnerships, consignment inventories, and other strategic supplier relationships. Promotes the company's image with aircraft engine and APU OEMs, suppliers, and works to achieve the best value for purchasing spend.
- Participates in developing, amending, and issuing supply chain policy and procedures for the business unit. Ensures that changes in methods and operating practices are introduced with minimum disruption to production, support, and service center areas.
- Promotes continuous improvement ensuring that "best practices" are implemented for all aspects of supply chain.
- Ensures appropriate supply chain measures of performance are developed, reported regularly, are trending favorably and are promoting improvements.
- Reviews business unit logistics handling capabilities, ensuring the most appropriate logistics techniques are in place to meet customer requirements.
- Ensures adequate resources are devoted reviewing aged inventory and to selling off surplus stock in the most effective and cost-efficient manner.
- Ensures that U.S. and domestic export requirements are understood and properly implemented.
- Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of the supply chain team.
- Responsible for site-level indirect procurements to include facilities, maintenance, capital expenditures, and other overhead procurement.
- Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
What skill you’ll use:
- Thorough knowledge of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), supply/demand planning, procurement, production planning, inventory optimization, financial and business control systems.
- Experience with building data visualization using MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and similar tools is preferred.
- Experience setting up and maintaining Kanban, Point of Use (POU), Min-Max algorithms, and Consumption Based Ordering (CBO) systems and tools is preferred.
- Some experience with leading supply chains with complex demand profiles (aftermarket, etc.) and US government defense contracting is a plus.
- Some experience working in Defense contracting and Procurement with knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CPSR, and DOD Small Business compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent coaching skills and a proven ability to create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field required. Degree with Supply Chain is a plus.
- Recognized purchasing, planning, and inventory control certification (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM); or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong planning, problem solving, organizational, analytical, negotiation, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, and quality requirements.
- Working knowledge of Aerospace/Defense industrial business is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.
