Salary range: $92,480 - $115,000/annum
Position located onsite in Toledo, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Senior Manager Operations, H&S (North America)
- Maintenance of all aspects of driver qualification records and reports for Kim-Tam Logistics US in multiple locations (OH, TN, NY, CA, PA)
- Managing all maintenance/repair programs to ensure vehicle compliance
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations. Work closely with health clinics, staff, and Human Resources to ensure consistency/adherence with Federal (and/or
- Company) driver physicals and drug testing programs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations
- Ensure company maintains satisfactory Safety ratings and CSA scores
- Coordinate the onboarding and training of all drivers – this includes road test and load securement evaluations, drivers first day/onboarding, training, reviews, coaching, discipline/remedial training
- Coordinate and document all accident, investigations and contacts with insurance companies
- Develop, implement and maintain accident-avoidance programs. Overall responsibility for accident investigations
- Ensure processes between insurance companies for workers compensation and liability insurance is in compliance with Federal/State regulations and company policy
- Oversee and manage all matters pertaining to collision lawsuits, workers compensation hearings and any other related legal matters
- Conduct and execute safety related meetings with drivers from all locations
- Ensures safety recognition programs are implemented and administered properly
- Oversight and execution of licensing for all state authorities, FMCSA, UCR, NYHUT, IFTA, Fuel Cards, EZ Pass, etc.
- Managing ELD compliance and equipment function (ISAAC)
- Supporting oversight of all equipment specification, costing, purchasing/leasing and maintenance.
- All other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary, college degree AND/OR Minimum five years progressive safety experience, with four years safety management within a asset-based environment
- Experience managing a fleet maintenance program, preferred
- Current knowledge in all safety practices and regulations within the United States, preferred
- CDL license strongly preferred
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent work history with proven track record
- Excellent oral, written and listening skills
- Strong computer/PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel 10% of the time across continental US
