Manager, Quality

The Manager, Quality for Proponent Technical Services “PTS” serves as the Quality Management System representative for the PTS SBU, acting as the focal point for all quality-related issues. This role aligns PTS performance and goals with KPIs, product quality initiatives, and corporate lean transformation efforts. The manager leads Quality programs, training, auditing, documentation management, continual improvement activities, FAA compliance initiatives, and Safety Management Program execution. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Quality programs, training, and continual improvement teams
  • Maintain AS9100 quality system and align PTS documentation with corporate standards
  • Manage certifying body, customer, internal, and supplier audits
  • Serve as PTS lead auditor and liaison for all audit activities
  • Administer FAA Part 21 PMA and oversee Part 145 policy manual compliance
  • Issue 8130 tags and facilitate FAA audits
  • Manage execution of the Safety Management Program (SMS)
  • Oversee Receiving, Inspection, and Quality support personnel
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and resolved

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Professional Quality Certifications or related training
  • 7+ years of related Quality work experience
  • 5+ years of related Aviation Industry experience
  • FAA Part 145 experience
  • High School Diploma
  • SMS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS and FAA Part 145 Quality Systems
  • Document control and auditing expertise
