Job Description Summary

The Manager of Procurement, Direct Materials will be responsible for leading Procurement for ~$150 million in spend for Direct Materials.

A successful candidate will understand the full source to pay process for direct materials with an emphasis on supply assurance & risk mitigation. The Manager will also successfully execute the sourcing process through go-to-market assessment, negotiation, contracting, core ERP activities & supplier relationship management.

In addition, the Manager will be tasked with acting as a change agent by advancing procurement capabilities from a company-wide perspective. The role is expected to improve corporate procurement procedures & processes. The successful candidate will possess strong people skills & the ability to influence at all levels of the company.

Job Description

  • Own a $150m “book of business” & align to company cost, quality, delivery & service requirements
  • Collaborating with executives & internal stakeholders to improve procurement outcomes
  • Understand the key components of S&OP that contribute to sourcing requirements
  • Building appropriate Supplier Risk Management protocols with critical suppliers
  • Efficient communication of strategies, priorities, goals, challenges & results
  • Leading complex sourcing efforts & negotiating with suppliers
  • Managing & owning the entire contract negotiation process with support from Legal
  • Passionately supporting ESG outcomes for assigned categories
  • Contributing procurement performance & inflationary targets as part of annual budget planning cycle

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement with at least 3 direct materials
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Masters in a business-related field a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP & ASI ERP systems including SAP Ariba
  • Possess the capability to directly negotiate, manage & enforce contracts with limited support
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Capability to operate in uncertain environments & deliver under pressure
  • Natural influencer & persuasive at all levels of the business

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.

Pay Rate or Range: $113,930.00 - $170,900.00
