POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager, Operations Projects & Systems reports to the Director, Operations Planning and is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of programs and initiatives that support Cheniere’s operating assets. This is a key leadership position within the Houston Operations Support team that requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and management skills.
A qualified applicant will have a demonstrated combination of technical and business awareness for hydrocarbon plant Operations and will be responsible for leading the Operations Projects & Systems team to drive innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness across the Operations organization with respect to supporting the portfolio of Operations capital projects, IT projects and systems, and Operational Readiness (OR) core functions.
This role offers the ability to positively impact multiple operating assets and business units, and it collaborates with all levels of the company, from individual contributors to Executive Management.
KNOWLEDGE
The Manager, Operations Projects & Systems will have a proven understanding of hydrocarbon plant operations (such as LNG, refining, petrochemical or similar industry) as well as a strong conceptual and working knowledge of project management, stakeholder and change management, leadership and continuous improvement principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Operations IT tools and systems that are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Assess the readiness of the Operations organization and its employees for change, identifying areas that require additional support and leading these initiatives of supplemental readiness or training programs as appropriate.
Responsible to provide oversight and continued support of regulatory compliance for existing Operations training programs.
Manage the governance, and often development of, economic cost benefit analysis for high-visibility debottlenecking and facility optimization projects.
Responsible to work with Operations leadership and applicable SMEs to develop Operations Readiness (OR) Plans and Strategies.
Support recurring Operations Readiness meetings and key reviews with Operating Asset and other stakeholders as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or other engineering function preferred, MBA or other finance/business education background also considered. PMP and PE certifications are a plus. Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in an Operations or Operations support role within natural gas, refining or petrochemical industry. LNG experience is preferred.

Project management knowledge – project planning, cost control, economic and risk analysis.
Operational knowledge – including Operations systems (e.g. CMMS, LMS, Pi, etc.)
Highly efficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are required.

The Manager, Operations Projects & Systems requires minimal supervision and possesses the ability to function in a highly dynamic environment.
WORK CONDITIONS
Job is primarily performed in an office environment.
Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.
Periodic domestic travel required, typically to operating assets, as business conditions dictate.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.
