SUMMARY:

The Manager Maintenance II is responsible for supervising and planning the execution of cost‑effective and timely maintenance activities required to support the operation of all equipment and processes within the Processing Maintenance and Refrigeration departments.

This role provides leadership and direction to maintenance supervisors and personnel while ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, coordinate, and support maintenance supervisors and maintenance personnel
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities to ensure timely and cost‑effective equipment operation
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and company engineering on:
    • Equipment modifications
    • New equipment installations
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of new or complex technical issues related to equipment and processes
  • Manage and maintain highly automated systems, including:
    • PLCs
    • HMIs
    • Robotics
  • Coordinate and maintain the maintenance training program for maintenance Team Members
  • Assist in preparing and overseeing departmental budgets
  • Coordinate Team Member work schedules
  • Ensure all parts, tools, and assets necessary to perform maintenance are available, maintained, and properly managed
  • Provide information and insights to support managerial decision‑making
  • Perform other responsibilities as business needs arise

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 5 plus years of maintenance supervisor experience.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good communication skills; ability to direct the workforce with clear and precise directions.

Special Skills: Considerable knowledge in mechanical electrical hydraulics refrigeration automation and maintenance training skills. Display sound judgment; make sound decisions; organizational skills; ability to accept and delegate responsibility.

Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of maintenance supervisors and or personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Travel: 1 - 5 trips per year.
