The Software Deployment Manager leads one or more software deployment teams, balancing people leadership, delivery execution, and technical oversight. This role is responsible for building high performing teams, ensuring consistent deployment of high quality software, and aligning engineering outcomes with business objectives. People Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop engineers through regular feedback, mentoring, and performance management • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement • Support career development, skill growth, and succession planning • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team composition planning • Use strong communication skills to deliver meaningful feedback, align expectations, and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities. Delivery & Execution • Own delivery outcomes for the team, ensuring commitments are met with quality and predictability • Partner with Product Management to plan roadmaps, priorities, and release schedules • Manage scope, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across initiatives • Ensure Agile/Scrum practices are followed and continuously improved • Track and communicate progress, metrics, and risks to stakeholders Technical & Quality Oversight • Provide technical guidance and decision support without micromanaging implementation • Ensure engineering best practices for Deploymen, Configuration of software, testing, security, and maintainability • Partner with Development and Support teams on system design and technical strategy • Ensure systems meet non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, and reliability Cross-Functional Collaboration • Act as a key liaison between engineering, product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders • Translate business goals into executable technical plans • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
