Job Description

The job requirement is for Application engineering of medium voltage VCB Panel and GIS panels.

The job involves preperation of contract specification drawings for customer which are mainly outline dimensional drawings, circuit drawings, component bill of materials.
Regular meetings with cross functional departments like project management, tendering, sales for resolution of gaps in orders, meetings with customers for approval of drawings.
The candidate should have thorough knowledge in protection relays (numerical and electromechanical), meters, electrical components like switches, annunciation windows, push buttons, contactors, auxiliary relays, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arrestors
The candidate will have to integrate the above components in the form of circuit drawings using ECAD tools as per customer defined logic. Boolean logic capabilities should be available to explain the logic to customers in the form of documentation
Knowledge of IEC standards of Medium voltage switchgears, circuit breakers, current transformers, voltage transformers is essential
The candidate should be able to carry out sizing calculation of current transformers, voltage transformers, DC load of panels and finally generate a comprehensive manufacturing bill of material in ERP/SAP.
The candidate should also be able to develop customized components and validate during order receipt for non standard requirements. Should show examples of cost reduction/QVE actions to promote continuous improvement actions

Candidate should be Diploma or Bachelor in electrical/electrical and electronics engineering with minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering

Knowledge of tools like AutoCad, E-Plan, E3, SAP will be essential.
