JOB SUMMARY:

Race Winning Brands is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team. The Engineering Manager leads a site group of engineers, designers and technicians to execute new product development projects on time and on budget working with RWB Product Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams. If applicable, ensure custom part engineering achieves lead time targets, cost expectations and adherence to design standards. Support Manufacturing and Quality as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and interface with Sales and Customer Service teams to incorporate voice of the customer data into product improvements in order to drive continuous improvement.

This position is located at Rekluse in Boise, ID, with some travel required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage department workload to meet company’s annual plan
• Staff according to current and future workloads
• Set department and individual goals to support the company business plan
• Manage the department budgets
• Ensure inspection, design and performance capabilities meet those required for each product
• Monitor and Improve design practices and processes
• Continuously improve engineering practices, systems and processes
• Act as a project manager on major engineering and product projects
• Assist sales in customer communication when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and product development.
• Advanced mathematical and computer skills.
• Thorough knowledge of SolidWorks or 3D modeling software.
• Experience in the racing, motorsports or automotive industry preferred.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates.
• Some travel required.
