About this opportunity:
The Manager, Deployed Process Safety role with Cenovus Energy is an outstanding opportunity to lead a world-class team in Lima, OH, and drive outstanding process safety management standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence with a focus on strictly adhering to safety regulations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
Lead site-wide risk assessments and mentor others in risk management methodologies
Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM regulations and foster a culture of safety excellence
Conduct regular risk reviews to assess the health of Safety Critical Elements and controls
Ensure regulatory compliance and promote standard methodology implementation
Collaborate with external teams, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies to align with industry-leading PSM standard methodologies
Promote consistency in PSM approaches across the site by incorporating proven practices from other Cenovus facilities
Lead compliance efforts with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards
Monitor key Process Safety performance indicators and provide leadership to improve outcomes
Facilitate risk reviews for complex plant changes, start-ups, and safety issues
Evaluate facility siting hazards and determine mitigation requirements
Model potential process releases and assist in implementing recommendations based on modelling outcomes
Who you are:
Legally authorized to work in the US
High school diploma or equivalent required, preference for a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
12+ years of experience in process safety within the oil and gas or chemicals industry or similar industry
Knowledge of US regulations, including OSHA PSM and EPA RMP
Familiarity with MOC, PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, and MAH methodologies
Demonstrated experience leading risk assessments and incident investigations
Process Safety Related Training, Incident Investigation Training/Certified Leader, or other related training
