Job Family Mech Engineer: Manager (M4)

Leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of 20+ Design Engineers across various grades and experience levels, driving New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives from concept through engineering release. Oversees design, layout, development, DFMA evaluation, validation, and complete engineering release cycle activities while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and performance objectives. Establishes and enhances engineering processes, technical standards, and best practices to support efficient product development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Knowledge and exposure to AI/ML implementation in engineering design, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives will be considered an added advantage.

Functional Manager (M4)- Aerostructures (Mechanical) Product Design & Development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive functional PDPR and program performance metrics.
• Lead, mentor, and develop 20+ Design Engineers.
• Manage program requirements and execution plans.
• Perform effort estimation and resource planning.
• Deliver results within cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Maintain strong customer and cross-functional relationships.
• Lead organizational and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with customers and business units for new opportunities.
• Develop standard work, lessons learned, and engineering checklists.
• Knowledge of AI/ML implementation in engineering applications is an added advantage.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.
• Sound knowledge in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
• Experience in Nacelle Product Design / Aircraft Structures.
• Experience in Composite Structures
• Exposure to Catia/ MBD / Teamcenter Tools
• Good experience in DFMA / GD&T / Stack-up Analysis
• Leadership Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to motivate and build team synergy.
• Effective in delegation, direction, and adapting to changing priorities.
