Summary
This position will lower the cost component of manufacturing by leading, planning, directing, and coordinating process improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency, while supporting operations in all areas of boat manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: 4 year degree in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering; 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers. Ability to lead cross functional teams.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Qualifications: Ability to use MS Office and CAD Systems; Proven ability to lead Kaizen events;
