Responsibilities (Not All Inclusive):
- Provides on-shift support which involves programming, debugging, and problem solving of highly automated equipment and controls systems including PLCs, HMIs, electrical circuits as well as IT site management.
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and programs Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) including Allen-Bradley, Siemens; Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Allen-Bradley PanelView; VFD and servo drives; I/O; instrumentation.
- Must have knowledge of and capability to install and troubleshoot industrial automation networks (Ethernet/IP)
- Provides troubleshooting electrical circuits (3 phase 480 VAC, 120 VAC, 24 VAC and VDC control circuits)
- Must possess ability to analyze process flow to identify issues.
- Provides support for continuous improvement and capital projects and analyzing data to attain high equipment reliability and uptime.
- Provides on-shift technical support, leads troubleshooting of automated, controls and electrical systems by prioritizing internal and external customer needs to maximize productivity.
- Provide IT support for plant IT systems, capable of troubleshooting and working with corporate IT team and 3rd party vendor to maintain operation of company IT system.
- Research solutions to technical issues and implement solutions on a timely basis.
- Drives performance improvement using KPIs to optimize Controls and Automation Systems using continuous improvement, root cause analysis, data analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis.
- Follows all Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety, Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Cleaning and 5S standards and policies.
- Must be able to read, understand and modify technical documentation (electrical schematic drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals)
- Documents and communicates software and hardware changes, on-shift activities, follow-up actions, and project status using visual, verbal, written, and digital communication.
- Assist in developing and delivering trainings pertaining to automated processes and systems as needed for operations, maintenance, co-workers, etc.
Education:
- Associate degree, Technical Certification, Mechatronics, or Equivalent Work Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency utilizing Google Suite applications: Sheets, Docs, Slides, Meets, Forms, Gmail, and DrivPractical skills reading, understanding and modifying technical documentation (electrical schematic drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals)
Physical Demands:
- Requires climbing, bending, kneeling and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Varies. Hot, humid environment at times, as well as cold, wet conditions for up to 12-hour shift.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or higher.
- Lift and carry up to 100 lbs. on an infrequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or above.
