Maintenance Technicians – $28–32/hr

Locations: Brighton, MI and Howell, MI

**Shifts: **Monday–Friday and weekends as needed

• 1st Shift (Brighton): 5:00am – 3:30pm

• 2nd Shift (Howell): 2:00pm-10:30pm

• 3rd Shift (Howell): 10:00pm-6:30am

Express Employment is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for two growing facilities in Brighton and Howell, MI. These are full-time, long-term opportunities with competitive pay and benefits at well-established manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of industrial equipment including CNC machines, robotic automation cells, and facility systems.

• Perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.

• Read and interpret schematics, electrical drawings, and blueprints.

• Replace machine components including motors, gearboxes, belts, pumps, sensors, drives, ball screws, and spindles.

• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems, including 480V 3-phase systems, PLCs, VFDs, and servo systems.

• Run conduit, wire panels, and complete industrial electrical installations.

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on continuous improvement and quality solutions.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machining environment (CNC maintenance required).

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ladder logic, and schematics.

• Experience with machinery rigging, gearbox repair, and facility maintenance.

• Welding and fabrication experience a plus.

• Operator permits for overhead cranes and aerial lifts preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in mechanical/electrical/robotics or related training preferred.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, walk, climb, crouch, and work in physically demanding conditions.

• Exposure to noise, chemicals, and temperature extremes.

• Must follow Lock Out/Tag Out, confined space, and industrial safety protocols.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay: $28.00 – $32.00/hour (based on experience). Howell location can pay up to $34/hr.
