Full Time

2nd Shift - approximate shift times of 3 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Wages will start at $26.50/hr. This includes a $22.50/hr base pay and a $4/hr shift differential. Pay will be determined based on candidate's overall experience and skill set. 

Rogers Group Inc. is seeking to fill a 2nd shift (3pm-1am) MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / EXPERIENCED WELDER opening for our quarry operation located in HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY. We offer a competitive salary with health, dental, vision, 401K, short term disability, long term disability and life insurance benefits. We also offer a variety of safety equipment, paid holidays and paid vacations.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Routine Equipment/Plant Maintenance
• Operating Production Equipment
• Involved with Plant Improvement Projects
• Inspect and perform daily maintenance on plant
• Inspect and perform repairs as needed for plant
• Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors and screen for plant
• Splice belts
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills:

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices
• Previous industrial and conveyor maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience
• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and a 3pm - 1am shift
• Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Skills:

• Plant maintenance and utility experience, preferably in a quarry environment
• Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
• Experience operating heavy equipment
