Job description:
Requirements & Competencies: Performs routine and ad hoc maintenance for local manufacturing company. Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing equipment and machinery.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stand/walk continuously and perform physical tasks
· Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification strongly preferred
· Availability to work overtime hours, weekends and holidays preferred
· Must be able to stand long periods of time
MUST BE BILINGUAL-SPANISH AND ENGLISH
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Keeps equipment, systems, and building ready for use by repairing equipment, doors, plumbing, floor tiles, painting, and other items inside and outside of the manufacturing plant.
· Maintain electrical items, such as outlets and light switches.
· Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, and production machines.
· Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring tools.
· Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools.
· Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.
· Optimizes maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
· Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
**· **MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WELDING IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm
