Job Overview:

**DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

**

| | | |

Pro Services Workforce Solutions has partnered with Univertical LLC, a copper and chemical processing manufacturer in Angola, Indiana, to fill this Direct Hire opportunity. Univertical's maintenance crew has stayed together for a decade, and you would be hired directly onto their team -- not placed as a contractor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • **Troubleshoot and repair

**hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems on production and facility equipment, minimizing downtime.

  • **Perform preventive and reactive maintenance

**on equipment including mills, lathes, welding equipment, rolling mill, tumbler, furnaces, drawbench, conformer, and shear.

  • **Install, adjust, and align

**motors, pumps, conveyors, piping, and valves, and swap out failed motors for repair or replacement.

  • **Work hands-on with electrical systems

**up to 480V three-phase, including panels, contactors, and control voltage circuits, with a clear respect for high-voltage safety.

  • **Support fabrication needs

**as they come up -- welding, cutting, grinding, and basic repairs -- alongside the team's dedicated fabricators.

  • **Communicate clearly across shift changeovers,

**flagging what production and supervisors need to know and documenting completed repairs.

  • **Make sound calls in the moment

**-- when something breaks off-hours, you're trusted to find a safe, workable fix and keep the line running.

  • **Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental requirements,

    **including lockout/tagout and chemical-handling procedures.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing, industrial, or processing environment.

  • Multi-craft background covering both mechanical and electrical work -- comfortable with basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting production equipment.

  • Working knowledge of control voltage (0-24V), 110-240V single phase, and 480V three-phase electrical systems.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training a plus.

  • Own hand tools required.

  • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset -- willing to jump in and support whoever needs it.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT

This role works in a clean, environmentally-controlled manufacturing environment with some areas near furnaces and chemical processing equipment, and other areas involving standard mechanical grease and oil. Expect to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and occasionally work on ladders or scaffolds. Lifting is generally 21-50 lbs, with occasional loads up to 75 lbs. Required PPE includes FR clothing, high-visibility gear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM

Univertical's maintenance team has stayed together for years -- several technicians have been there for a decade or more, and leadership has grown up through the company from the production floor. This is a team that trains its people, trusts good judgment, and genuinely invests in the people who work here. A new technician joining any of these shifts will have an experienced tech already on hand to help them learn the equipment and grow into the role.

This schedule gives you consistent weekday time off while still working alongside a full, experienced weekend crew.
