**Title:
**Maintenance Technician Specialist
Why You Want This Role
Be the maintenance specialist who keeps our lines running and our team growing. You’ll troubleshoot advanced mechanical and electrical issues, improve asset reliability, and guide technicians in safe, consistent work practices. You’ll ensure all maintenance activities support critical food‑safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF) and contribute directly to maintenance planning, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement efforts that drive long‑term operational performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and perform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) on production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; guide others through systematic fault isolation and root cause analysis.
- Execute precision maintenance (laser alignment, torque to spec, balancing, lubrication best practices).
- Use CMMS to plan/close work orders with accurate labor, parts, and failure codes; improve job plans and BOMs.
- Support food safety & sanitation (GMP, allergen control, hygienic design, CIP/COP coordination); protect CCPs/Preventive Controls during maintenance.
- Partner with Production, QA, and Sanitation during downtime events; communicate status and corrective actions.
- Mentor technicians; reinforce safety, quality, and documentation standards; coordinate contractors as needed.
- Contribute to TPM/RCM/CI—reduce chronic losses, improve MTBF/MTTR, and optimize PM/CBM routes.
- Other duties as assigned by management
What You Bring
- 3+ years industrial maintenance (food/beverage/CPG preferred).
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read prints/schematics.
- Experience with VFDs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics/hydraulics; basic PLC fault-finding (I/O, alarms—no programming required).
- Solid CMMS experience; high-quality work order documentation.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRCGS, allergen control, and sanitary design basics.
- Safety first: LOTO, PPE, and risk assessment leadership.
Nice to Have
- Technical degree, trade certification, or advanced training (mechatronics, industrial maintenance).
- Predictive technologies (vibration, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis).
- Experience with CIP systems, steam/boiler components, compressed air, or refrigeration*.
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E awareness, forklift/aerial lift certs, welding/fabrication.
