Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician coworkers are responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of all plant machinery and equipment. The various machinery and equipment includes: Sidel Blow Mold machinery, leak detectors, conveyor systems, chillers, towers, air compressors, dryers, strappers, stretch wrappers, and palletizers. Close attention to quality and detail is a must while working in a fast-paced and quick changing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing predictive and preventive maintenance work, troubleshooting and machine repairs on various production machinery and equipment.
- Dismantle machinery and equipment to remove and replace/repair defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Experienced with hydraulic and pneumatic circuits with aid of schematics for troubleshooting or repair.
- Repair electric circuits with complete understanding of electrical schematic diagrams.
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment operation, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Determine materials and/or parts needed for service / repair of equipment.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with hand tools and maintenance practices.
- Provides own general mechanics tools and toolbox.
- Helps organize and maintains maintenance areas and stock room.
- Performs good housekeeping assignments.
- Ability to interact with and guide other maintenance staff and production operators in safe operation of equipment.
- Willing to remain on an assignment until it is completed or until released by the Maintenance Manager.
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Covers vacations and other absences according to Kenosha local attendance policy.
- Good computer skills, and ability to learn and efficiently use Amcor computer programs – such as SAP, FMS, and email.
- Safety conscious and observe all safety practices and rules – such as PPE, LO/TO, electrical code safe practices, confined space entry programs, and more.
- Ability to work as part of a Team and individually while exhibiting positive teamwork
- Accepts other duties/changes to position as plant and production needs require.

- Assist management to help create a safe working environment by communicating any safety concerns and making suggestions for proactive safety improvements.

- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- ** Education and Experience:**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required - college, technical or vocational education preferred.
- Previous manufacturing work experience is required.

**Other Physical Requirements: **
- Able to stand and walk up to 12-hours on concrete or other hard surfaces.
- Occasionally required to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.

- Must be able to bend under 4-foot bottle conveyor.
- Frequent and effective dexterity in fingers and hands to operate hand tools.
- Proficient hand / eye coordination to operate equipment and controls.
