Job Overview:

BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. We are seeking a motivated individual to perform a variety of tasks in any number of areas in the operation including install, set up, maintenance and repair of plant equipment and ammonia refrigeration system in the processing of raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical and feed industries. Maintain general maintenance of the building and facilities by performing the following tasks:

•    Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
•    Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments
•    Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
•    Maintain all shop, engine rooms and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion
•    Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
•    Assist in updating the PSM & PM Programs
•    Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks
•    Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
•    Adhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
•    Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at the assigned work location
•    Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and in their proper place
•    Daily rounds
•    Report any hazards to management
•    Other duties as assigned
• High school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school and (1-3) years of experience and/or equivalent experience and education
•    Experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration and some building maintenance
•    Experience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required

Will be exposed to cool and wet conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and be able to work around raw beef, chicken or other similar raw materials and odors.
