Position Overview:
Essential Job Functions:
Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
Deploys Plan-Do-Check-Act methodologies for troubleshooting issues on the manufacturing floor.
Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
Starts/Restarts all manufacturing equipment to test operation following repair prior to releasing equipment to production. This should be done to measure the success of the repair and to minimize downtime of the manufacturing equipment.
Repairs broken parts and/or determines best course for finding replacement components.
Performs routine and preventive maintenance to machines, auxiliary equipment including automation cells and building facilities.
Responsible for following all safety regulations.
Performs safety inspections on all manufacturing equipment and the facility.
Provides insight and recommendations of potential machine risks for human or equipment safety.
Documents findings during preventative maintenance activity and repair activities on manufacturing equipment.
Assist in maintenance activities related to tooling and production equipment in preparation for use in applications.
Ability to train, mentor and coach other technical team members in functional job activities related to maintenance and repair
