Job Summary:

  • Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair tasks for various equipment and systems in a facility. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as a part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to address and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
  • Support and adhere to all implemented quality, governmental and safety company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to service requests and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Provide support and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to keep skills and knowledge current.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably as a Maintenance Technician I or similar position.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to maintenance tasks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • May require working in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
  • May be on-call for emergency repairs, may be required to work weekends, or on-call shifts depending on facility needs.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
