Description
Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to work in our Pleasant Prairie, WI plant. Your commitment to work safety and product safety are essential success factors. Your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will result in maximizing uptime, efficiency and output. This is s full time position.
Essential Job Functions
- Troubleshoot and maintain all process and production equipment as well as general building maintenance.
- Repair and maintain plant process, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Design, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.
- Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Work directly with engineers, machinists, assemblers, & machine operators
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Familiar with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics
- Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers
- Read, write, and understand English
- Read interpret instructional electrical, hydraulic, and process systems drawings.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Prior background in manufacturing maintenance and plastics manufacturing a strong plus.
- Good troubleshooting skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and control systems is a plus.
- Self-starter with willingness to perform other related duties as required
- Able to work overtime as required
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificate in relevant expertise areas such as electrical, mechanical and/or other areas is a plus
Work Experience:
- 3-6 years of industrial maintenance or a similar environment performing comparable tasks as required for this position.
