JOB SUMMARY

Performs maintenance work that facilitates the production of quality fittings and hose assemblies. Requires an associate's degree with 0 -5 years of experience in the field and/or equivalent experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Performs preventative maintenance 

•    Maximizes production and maintains quality by correctly repairing, maintaining, replacing, installing, and troubleshooting all mechanical and electrical systems.

•    Successfully completes weekly action plan for achievement of action items that are assigned as well as assigned projects. (including gathering information, materials, scheduling machine downtime)

•    Performs uptime improvement action items for assigned production equipment 

•    Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic valves, pumps and cylinders

•    Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic valves and cylinders

•    Must  be able to learn PLC Troubleshooting within 1st year in the position  and able to make adjustments to the program in conjunction with engineering requests

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Maintains & monitors PM completion ratio

•    Ability to work overtime to support production needs

•    Work with production supervisors and operators to increase understanding of equipment operation to prevent equipment downtime. 

•    Performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

•    Knowledgeable with 480v 3-phase and 110v., etc.

•    Follows safety policies to ensure hazards are eliminated

•    Demonstrate the ability to understand technical problems of a complex nature

•    Ability to complete OSHA 10-Hour Training

•    Proficient computer skills in all applications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

•    A 2 year technical degree and/or equivalent experience A minimum of 0 - 5 years of related experience

•    Mechatronics is desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB

•    Occasionally in sitting position to perform duties at desk and on computer

•    Occasionally must lift up to 40 lbs

•    Frequently communicates with employees, customers and suppliers to understand their requests

•    Frequently walks, kneels and stands on concrete floor for extended periods of time

•    Must wear safety shoes with either composite, alloy or steel toe and have EH rating
