Responsibilities:
- Drive a culture of safety awareness and risk assessment in the Maintenance Group
- Operate as a Maintenance team leader for assigned projects and maintenance tasks
- Oversee plant utilities and associated equipment and systems
- Monitor and upgrade equipment for efficiency, safety, and reliability
- Perform pipe-fitting, sheet-metal, fabrication, and related work as required
- Perform machine repairs
- Maintain Company-required performance and maintenance records
- Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed
- Provide skills to enhance equipment reliability and safety by upgrading controls and monitoring of facility equipment
- Assist and train other maintenance personnel as assigned
- Support and comply with all Operator responsibilities as outlined in standards established in Organizational Directive on Workplace Safety
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Comply with all Company guidelines for maintaining the environment
- Commit to and participate in activities for continuous improvement
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years experience in a Manufacturing/Plant Maintenance Department/Shop. Experience in a leadership role is highly desired.
- Certificate or Vocational school training or equivalent work experience in Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Industrial Electricity
- Certificate in Sheet Metal, Pipe Fitting or Machine Shop desired
- Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Good command of basic math, reading, and writing
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work well in team environment, especially must be able to interface and communicate with Operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to work call-ins, overtime or non-regular hours as needed
- Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping
- Able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification
- Good problem-solving ability
- First-Aid certification may be required
- Participate in cross-training plans as needed
