Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Mundelein, IL

Industry: Food Manufacturing

A fast-paced food manufacturing company is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production and packaging equipment.

This position is approximately 60% electrical and 40% mechanical. Candidates must have food manufacturing maintenance experience, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to quickly diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Repair automated machinery and replace defective components.

• Work with conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging equipment.

• Replace bearings, shafts, filters, and other machine components.

• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

• Maintain equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.

• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly, ideally within 5–10 minutes.

2. Must-Have Requirements

Critical requirements- 2+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing.

• Previous food manufacturing experience is required.

• Bilingual English and Spanish.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (approximately 60% of the job).

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

• Experience with automated production or packaging equipment.

• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 110V.

• Preventive maintenance experience.

• Ability to work in warm and cold environments.

• Available for overtime and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

• CMMS experience.

• Welding experience.

• Technical training or an associate degree.
