Job Overview:

East Jordan Plastics, Inc. is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with a focus on electrical. Traditional Industrial Maintenance duties such as performing preventative maintenance tasks, executing unplanned maintenance repairs, and performing project work are completed after the production requirements for change over are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical systems
  • Reading technical diagram and blueprints
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
  • Performing preventative maintenance & maintaining electrical system
  • Support Maintenance
  • Electrical Installation

Requirements:

  • Familiar with Thin Sheet Extrusion, Thermoforming, and Trim processes and equipment
  • Knowledge of computer systems and PLC systems
  • Excellent safety records
  • Good communication
  • Positive attitude
  • Able to stay on task.
  • Agree to abide by all safety rules as prescribed by East Jordan Plastics
  • Maintain clean, safe area, report any equipment that is defective.
  • Computer skills
  • Forklift and Gennie Boom Cert
  • Able to work any shift.
  • Ability to be a member of the team and support peers as necessary to share assigned tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3-5 yrs prior electrical industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment (preferred but not required)
  • Familiar with Sheet Extrusion, Thermoforming and Trimming processes
  • Trade / technical school completion or ability to complete curriculum if requested.
  • Journeyman card in applicable specialty trade is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking on concrete.

  • Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers, bend, kneel reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl and talk or hear.

  • Must be able to lift to up to 50 pounds at a time.
