Maintenance Technician - Dover, NH:

Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, upkeep and safety of production equipment and the facility, as well as occasionally assisting in production.This position requires demanding physical work.

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical production equipment and perform preventive maintenance throughout the facility.

• Repair or replace defective parts, using various hand and power tools.

• Work with production to create or modify work cells to streamline work flow.

• Maintenance of the facility involving occasional basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and cleaning, etc. where needed inside and outside the facility.

• Work with or support outside contractors when necessary.

• Follow health and safety rules, policies and procedures for all areas to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others.

• All other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical, mechanical and PLC technology.
• Firm knowledge in the usage of hand and power tools, with the ability to operate various machine shop equipment being helpful.
• Must be able to take direction and report results back in a concise manner.
• The ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills needed.

Required Experience:

• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to ascend, descend and work atop ladders and equipment.

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop or kneel.
