Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working on electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. They are skilled in a variety of areas including reading of schematics, and general drawings, repair of machinery, knowledgeable in lock-out, tag out procedure and other duties such as general maintenance of toilets to wiring motors on bridge cranes, press brakes, saws, ironworkers, welders etc.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to follow a priority list of repairs needed and compete in a timely manner.
- Executes any repairs to equipment as needed (electrical, pneumatic, Hydraulics).
- Aids in machine shop items as skills and experience allows.
- Use schematics and manuals to make repairs to shop equipment.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must show the ability to be punctual and follow all Company Safety and personnel policy directives while on the job.
- Holds basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics, reading schematics and prints, as well as tape measures and other measuring devices.
- Has a valid South Carolina Driver License and meet Company’s Authorized Drivers Policy and Insurance Requirements.
- Demonstrates safe operation of hand, air powered and electrical tools.
- Possesses good time management skills.
- Cooperates in working extra hours, if needed.
- Machine shop skills are a plus, but not required.
