Job Overview:

WORK SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday 6:00pm - 2:30am or Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Athens, TN location. The ideal candidates will have experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, servo powered equipment, ERP software, HMI, PLCs, robotic welders, and more. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

**

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, robotic welders, and other industrial automation equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems and wiring

  • Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations

  • Utilize ERP software to track maintenance activities and inventory

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment

  • Coordinates maintenance activities with production control, tool room and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower, machine and equipment

  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of production problems

  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variances with supervisors and other maintenance associates

  • Consults with production personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products

  • Coordinate with Tool Crib Attendants and Maintenance Planner on purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment as needed

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and policies in the plant at all times

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment and report our as needed

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S)

  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety hazards

  • Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem solving meetings

  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed

**Education/Experience/Certifications:

**

**Education:

**

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

  • Associate's degree in related field is strongly preferred

**Experience:

**

  • Four (4) or more years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment, or combination of trade school and experience

  • Three (3) or more years of auto-supplier, steel stamping maintenance experience

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills (must be able to communicate in English)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of HMI and PLC systems

  • Forklift licensed

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
