**Summary/Objective
**
This position will provide the candidate the ability to maintain and repair equipment used in a manufacturing plant. Learn to operate a variety of previously set up machine tools to fabricate and repair parts as part of this training process. The ideal candidate should have the ability to perform light repair work and general facility and grounds maintenance, as well as, have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently.
**Essential Functions
**
¨NBSP;
Perform light repair work within the facility
Perform machine maintenance as far as, changing oil and lubing
Learn how to do repairs on equipment utilizing proper lockout/tag-out procedures
Training on how to read assembly prints to repair parts
Training on how to follow repair specifications
Clean up repair work sites to pre-repair state, ensuring all maintenance tools, supplies, and parts are removed and returned to designated maintenance areas
Complies with all company safety requirements for maintenance personnel as well as production departments’ safety requirements while in the area
Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements
Observe and apply department and company safety policies and procedures
Preform duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
