Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

• Electrical troubleshooting using a meter, including 24VDC–480V systems.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, contactors, relays, fuses, switches, wiring, and VFDs.

• Mechanical repair experience with gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, and rollers.

• Hydraulic repair experience with cylinders, valves, hoses, proportional and servo systems.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing overhead cranes and conveyor systems.

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Description

A typical day will include responding to equipment downtime calls, completing preventative maintenance, and working on maintenance projects. Technicians work in teams of 2–3 and respond to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment failures.

Much of the downtime involves troubleshooting electrical issues such as wiring problems, failed relays, fuses, motors, and other components inside control panels. The position will also involve mechanical repairs and rebuilds, including replacing gearboxes, rollers, chains, belts, bearings, and sprockets.

You will also troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, hoses, and proportional and servo hydraulics.

This is a hands-on position where you will work on a variety of equipment and see something different every day. Teamwork is important, as technicians work together to quickly diagnose problems, make repairs, and get equipment back up and running while minimizing downtime.
