JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician provides clerical and systems support to the department. Develops predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and analyzes data using tracking systems to support continuous improvement opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – includes the following:
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures
- Knowledge of A/C-D/C motors and controls.
- Experience with hydraulic and mechanical applications is a requirement.
- Strong background in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of various manufacturing equipment
- Implement and enhance continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
- Experience PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
- Design and installation of new/improved manufacturing equipment, components, and processes
- Make modifications to existing equipment as required
- Monitor spare parts requirements to continuously improve processes
- Perform PM inspections as required, complete with all repairs
- Minimize downtime by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts and external contacts
- Other duties as assigned.
